The Cell was founded with the basic purpose to protect women in the college from any kind of sexual harressment. The Collegiate Women’s Development Cell is linked to the Women’s Development Cell at University campus. Along with the protection of the girls, the college also makes conscious attempts to provide vocational based training workshops to the girls to make them self reliant and to lead them to the path of entrepreneurship. A self defence workshop was also arranged with the training of meditation and Yoga. The girls of the college were registered for the Police Helpline 1091 and the safety and security of girls were ensured. A lecture on “Prevention is Better than Cure” was organized by Karanj Mahila Police Station. The girls also participated in Essay competition and made handmade cards from handmade papers.

CWD Cell of City C.U. Shah Commerce College organized a programme on self defence for women on 06-08-2019. ACP Ms. Mini Joseph imparted valuable information about safety measures for women. 120 Students remained present. The programme was successfully conducted by Prof. Kshiti Bhatt, Dr. Alpa Thaker and Prof. Trupti Patel.
